It would be nice if the censor function replaced ONLY those four letters in any word that contained them, and it would be very, very nice if 2.2 had this possibility. - It wasn't really what I meant

In 2.2 you can completely disable censoring from your user profile

When coding a forum myself, I saw the utter need for this precise feature! , so i did it, and it works!

I generally just use replacements rather than blocking them out.
eg: At my Star Wars forum, words are reoplaced with Star Wars curses :D
But I do like most of the stuff you have been talking about in this thread. Very handy stuff, it would be.
