Can I ask how this is done?
want a set at least 30 smilies, like vbulletin board
That's up to the template, you can easily edit the template to show 30 or even 100 smilies on the page instead of opening a new window.

No support via CVS. What is in there now regarding this may change later.

The second quote is not correct. You are able to set the number of smilies displayed on posting within the Attachment Control Panel (Smilies).
edit: to be more precise, you are able to choose if a smilie is displayed on posting or not. ;)

I just have a few questions:

How long (in days) did Milestone 1 take to complete?
How long (in days) did it take from M-1 to M-2?
Is the product after M-4 considered stable and have support?

And...

Should I upgrade from 2.0.5-2.0.6 or wait for 2.2? If 2.2 is coming out in November, I'm not bothering to upgrade to 2.0.6.

1. No clue
2. No clue
3. It will go into BETA, then Release Canadates, then the final release. So, once M4 is complete, it is still not technically stable, but that is when you post bug reports.
