EM, on step two should have an option for a full backup of the prefix aka phpbb_ on step two for safety purposes. like the backup database that phpbb uses

Re: easymod make full backup
yes the entire database!
just an option incase something goes wrong with the board, and they can't get a backup, and they don't have phpmyadmin

Re: easymod make full backup
Can't they just use the phpBB backup utility?

Re: easymod make full backup
this will be convinient because if they install a mod that messes up the board, they could have a backup.
Re: easymod make full backup
Of course EM should, and I guarantee you it will, contain some pretty fat warnings to this extent. And, really, if people doesn't bother to read that, that simply gotta be their fault and problem. There already is a backup feature in phpbb, and it works great.

Re: easymod make full backup
but how many mods need to alter the entire database? maybe up to three tables. But, even these generally only use an INSERT, which can't really hurt.
