[rejected] easymod make full backup

Post by chickeneater »

EM, on step two should have an option for a full backup of the prefix aka phpbb_ on step two for safety purposes. like the backup database that phpbb uses

Can't they just use the phpBB backup utility?

this will be convinient because if they install a mod that messes up the board, they could have a backup.

Of course EM should, and I guarantee you it will, contain some pretty fat warnings to this extent. And, really, if people doesn't bother to read that, that simply gotta be their fault and problem. There already is a backup feature in phpbb, and it works great.

Um, yeah it would. It would do what the MOD tells it to do.

but how many mods need to alter the entire database? maybe up to three tables. But, even these generally only use an INSERT, which can't really hurt.
