Dear pso, we are just so very, very happy that the phpBB-work is progressing, and that the best board is getting even better. If this work till take a year, a few of us will still wait patiently and be happy that we atleast have 2.0.x.
phpBB rules, and that's why we are gossiping about the release.

You will never be rid of speculation and rumours. Better to hope for 6 months than to nag every week.

The team are doing a great work (I think) and we are proud to have the pleasure of using your board. I personally know how hard it is to work for something like this and always getting complaints that things are missing, that other products are better, and that you are lazy for not releasing the next version tomorrow.

Keep up the good work. A lot of people appreciate it.

I say what I say because the moment we allow speculation to occur here or @ area51 it takes on a life of it's own Hence why I ask "Please do not speculate". If people don't see "I've heard it could be six months", "I think it'll be at least a year!" here ... they cannot misinterpret it as being "official speak".
