Members List Access

Post by SilverString »

hmmm... trying to veiw a profile i received: "You are not authorised to view the member list or profiles."

new feature or some sort of error?
seems like a good feature to have, depending now how the access will be granted...as in per user or based on which group they are in, etc.

The former. New permissions for all parts of the forum.

Does that mean that I couldn't restrict access to one and not the other?

Yes, if you click on a profile link and the memberlist to compare the URLs, you'll see that both are generated by memberlist.php. Perhaps another permission will be added to seperate both options but that's up to the developers.

Thanks, it's simply that they are two seperate functions, even if they are created in the same file.
