This is also a concern for me. I would like to see this file in a database entry. Also, how will work on themes work? I tend to tweak and upload themes quite a lot when working on them using my web host, would I have to recompile every time I want to make a small change and see it working? Or will I be able to turn off this compiling feature? How fast is the compiling feature for that matter?Wert wrote:Would having this stuff in a "world writable" directory make the 2.2 more suceptable to hackers attacks? Would they be able to upload crap and corrupt the forums or run arbitrary code?

This is probably the signle most important thing missing from the current phpBB's search, IMHO, and I'll be very happy if I see this added in 2.2.Anonymous wrote:The option to search topic titles only is missing, and is invaluable in shortening a list of 1000's when searching for a vague term

the ever-amazing Acyd Burn made a set of search mods at my request, and this one is included in them. they are available on his site for 2.0.x line of phpBB.hkdragon2 wrote:This is probably the signle most important thing missing from the current phpBB's search, IMHO, and I'll be very happy if I see this added in 2.2.Anonymous wrote:The option to search topic titles only is missing, and is invaluable in shortening a list of 1000's when searching for a vague term

Hi,
I have Attachments by Acyd Burn’s in my phpBB 2.0.4.
It works very fine; I’ve almost 5000 attachments.
But the upload repository likes a mess off junkie files, there for is high recommend to append categories name or id to the upload repository location.
What’s happening in v 2.2

Music to my ears.
All I have to say is...
This is going to be a LOOOOONG (predicting) 5 more months.
I seriously want to use the final version of this NOW.
I would grab the CVS and start cranking. But I'm still a complete PHP n00b.
But DAHM!!!!
Good job you guys.
Keep it up.
Can't wait for version 3 .

*drools... keyboard sprouts electricity through drool... electrocuting... but still d rooling... so much phpbb... so nice....*
Yes, i'd also like a search feature.
I'm usually a pretty thriving modder, but i'm holding back for 2.2... it's gonna be so much easier to mod ^_^... i'm also prolly gonna create a FULL RPG mod for 2.2... i started for 2.0.x, but it wasn't worth it when 2.2.x's features were listed off...
