Why do you need a software to connect to the board, if you can just open the administration panel and it will do just that?

I see no point in creating a program for it. When it's accesible thru the internet in a single click on your explorer.

I'm not simple minded. I just use common sense that applies to this case without thinking much.

If you have an internet connection, you sure have a browser.

If you have a phpbb board, you have an internet connection and surely a browser.

If your browser does not support frames [which is the only problem that can come within the administration panel] then simply change to a browser that supports them. IE, NS, they all do.

If you're the administrator of a phpbb, I'm sure you have all of the above.

One thing is making suggestions that will actually help the board, another thing is flooding the board with options that only fit YOUR needs, advicing developers something that so far has not been needed, so what makes you think that changed since 2.0.4

Just run a damn browser, admin the board that way, and don't call people simple minded. It's tasteless.

And this topic ends ... I remind all parties that no feature requests are permitted on these forums at all, anywhere. All feature requests go in our tracker on sourceforge, see the documentation enclosed with phpBB 2.0.x for details.

With regard a seperate administration program ... phpBB is a web application, we have no plans at all for any client side application to administer phpBB.
