I think it allows to have a short main title (save space), and then have a add on.. Or you can do something like I did recently on a forum:
I go away..
..And everything goes crazy

And the point of that is what exactly ... "saving space" brings exactly what benefit? You see that's my main reason for disliking them, they are used simply to circumvent a topic title limit or add unecessary"commentary". Rarely do I see such titles consistently used to "proper" effect to fill out in more detail what a topic is about ...

I guess a Mod would be fairly easy to make, and easy to install.. However I would not install a Mod like that... I see your point.

Yeah, a MOD for this kind of thing would be quite simple, and if it's that popular a feature, someone will write one. I think it just clutters up the viewforum, personally, though I will admit that on smaller boards it can be a fun feature.
