phpBB2 use outside the forum

I want to know if it is possible, and what I'd have to do, to create a spot on my homepage (which is also PHP) that shows the 5 most recent topics posted on my forum. For example, a little table on the side menu that would show these 5 most recent topics. Is there a way to do that with PHPBB2?

You will need to modify your board in order to do this. The best place to go for a MOD like this would be http://www.phpbb.com/mods/

there's several mods for that purpose, but it may take some time for the mod team to get them all in to the download area.

Yeah..the first was made AGES ago. I remember having it on my test server before I mucked up the hard-disk and destroyed everything.
