I wonder what will happen if they merge both boards to 1 - will the posts be added up? What if two different users have the same Nicks on both boards?

There'd be duplicate post numbers and just a big mess. My guess: won't happen.

It sorta sucks, but here is how I see it. Letting us beta test the board did two things. The first thing it did was help locate errors in the program and judge user response. The other thing it did was create a group of individuals who have a working knowledge of the system so that they can show others. I see it as the price we pay for access. So we help the n00bs a bit. It's all good.

And I wouldn't worry about having a place to play. THe devs are already making plans for phpBB2.2 and the portal team is supposed to start working directly after the release of phpBB2... sounds to me like we will have all kinds of places to play.
