[quote90d52="psoTFX"][quote90d52="erk"]yeah...but only when you know that I'm bashing you...[/quote90d52]
erm, no, I can simply not respond to anything that isn't in English ... ;)
[/quote90d52]

I don't even expect you to answer something you don't understand...but in theory I could bash you in Polish and than ask you for something in a very polite way in English...

and the frase "tea who you yeah bunny" have only English words, nevertheless these are very, very bad words, so that if you read it you should be offended...

As for the figures ... my doubts very much remain based on a PC mag as source :D[/quote90d52]you can belive it or not...sometimes we belive only in things we want to belive...[/quote90d52]
I "don't believe it" because you've not indicated how the data was obtained ... and my 'training' is such that I'm sceptical of pretty much everything that has no supporting 'evidence' or any indication of how it was obtained ...[/quote90d52]

I can only tell you how I obtained this information
I can't find it now, but I saw this information first on the portal o2.pl, but this portal have only links to other services like chip.pl or pcworld.pl and many others. in one of these services I read this news which was relating to a survey made by one of institutes. I can't tell you more. the promblem is that news are changed every day...

psoTFX: lets suppose that phpBB or a similar soft (don't know, imagine...) it's written in spanish/french/etc (and this "imaginary" soft it's so damn good as this soft is  ), do you think that americans will learn spanish/french/etc (just to post comments/bugs/etc? NO, I don't think so.

Oppositely, "we" do...

That is the diference between our cultures... so all i'm saying is that all of us should be a little more comprehensive and tolerant...

[quote8bc1f="jonemo"]one reason for this is, that they have no history (the only one, that they had, the native americans, is destroyed nearly completely).[/quote8bc1f]

eh.. maybe not one that dates back to centuries BC perhaps, but as far as history goes, the US has the oldest working constitution anywhere, going back some 230 years. That's really nothing to sneeze at.

NO, I've "learned" (i'm learning... my english isn't good) because I like it, and also, because I've always want to know what songs/movies/etc really want to mean/say. Maybe sounds stupid...

I totally agree with that.

No because they don't have to ... and that's the point ...

I don't think so (to the first part) ... English is taught and taken by so many people because it's quite hard to do 'big business' without it, Governments are not (entirely) stupid and thus put in place educational practices which will attempt to put them ahead of their competition ... can't do that in this world with a population unable to speak English to at least some degree.

And I'll say again, no point in telling me to learn another language ... I've tried and failed, and as pointed out I'm in the (lucky) position that in the main my native language more than suffices :)

You are never too old or tu stupid to learn any language...When I was 14 I've realized that I have no language skills. I'm lazy, I talk too less to be proficient in speaking or writing. Now I'm 23, I still think that the only language I really can is Polish, nevertheless I can comunicate in 3 other languages...and I want to learn Russian...or French...or maybe both :D
And the best way to learn is to go to another country...So if you still looking for a job in UK, forget it and go for example to Germany as a English teacher...You will see that you will learn very fast (of course all native English speakers learn harder other languages, because others, if they only can, change immediatly to English :D )

i think so two. i only thought, the small hsitory could be a reasen...

look at germany, we have a history, e.g. hitler. it's also not so fine..
why should someone be proud of living in any country?

'cause if u not proud of living in your country, if your national football team means nothing to you, maybe you should ask yourself "what the hell am I doing here?" and emigrate or make your country better, so that you could say "Yes, I belong to this place and like living here"
IMO you just can't live in a place you don't like, with the people, who are indifferent to you - it woudn't be the real live...it's Matrix :D

and history...well, it's true that USA has a short history, but it's also true that they have their 5 minuts in the history now. You can dislike it, but you can't change it. Maybe they are too arogant, maybe there are too many ignorants in the USA, but I'm pretty sure people always say it about global playmakers (which doesn't mean it's not true ;)). Greeks were also too arogant for Babilons, Romans too arogant for Greeks, Spaniards to their colonies in America, British Empire-soldiers to people of India.
Probably if they don't change it, it will led to end of the USA dominance, but why to bother - there are always something else to be a leader...

I said it once and I will say it again. You Germans think too much about II world war and Hitler. He was bad, so were many Germans in this time, but it's not worth to talk everytime about it. Just don't let it happen again and everybody is perfectly fine.
I don't tell you to be proud of everything, nevertheless you still have some good things to be proud about.

But Bismarck is not a good thing  Poles hates him nearly so much as Hitler... Oh! And remember that you haven't lost [bf6fb1]your[/bf6fb1] land after II world war - Poland just regained, what you taked us away during centuries[/sizef6fb1]
