Probably won't be any better when Chameleon is released. The Dev version of phpBB4 that this site is running is fine though, IMO.

Why?
Surely just the ability to update from within the ACP is an advantage?

Re: phpbb 4
Considering the fact that they're the admin of phpBB3refugees (not saying it's a bad thing, rather I'm just making a neutral observation), I doubt they're fond of the later versions of phpBB3, let alone phpBB4.david63 wrote: Sun Aug 14, 2022 6:26 pmWhy?

i think phpbb 4 is so far but it will be good to see phpBB 3.4 with exist features.

Re: phpbb 4
Honestly, if Chameleon was diched, phpBB4 would be a lot more viable. This Dev version seems to be holding its own for instance.Meis2M wrote: Mon Aug 15, 2022 11:27 am i think phpbb 4 is so far but it will be good to see phpBB 3.4 with exist features.

Re: phpbb 4
The only significant features that I am aware of in phpBB4 (other than Chameleon) are those that were taken out of phpBB3.3

Re: phpbb 4
No matter what, I doubt the jump from phpBB3 to phpBB4 will bring as many extensive changes as the jump from phpBB2 to phpBB3 did, and I doubt anything can really change that.

What makes XenForo better than phpBB?CarpCharacin wrote: Mon Sep 05, 2016 2:37 amI completley agree. I use XenForo for my main forum and i only use phpbb on the goldfish forum because it isn't mine.
