3.2.0-RC1? New build or not?

Post by digitaltoast »

I read that 3.2 is going to be the php7 compatible version.
As I'm keen to get my server onto php7 rather than maintain the split "5.6 for phpbb/7 for wordpress" config, I noticed that 3.2.0-RC1 was added on 19th June. https://download.phpbb.com/pub/release/ ... 3.2.0-RC1/
(Yeah, I know... but it's only a tiny forum!)

But when I searched, I found discussions of RC1 dated early May; the zip files in that directory are dated 30th May, the .bz2 files are dated 19th June but are all 0 bytes.

And I don't see an announcement? In short... Wassup?

We're working on releasing 3.2.0-RC1 soon. As long as some of the packages are not fully updated though (you might notice that some still have May 30th as date) and we're not announcing the release of RC1, this shouldn't be installed apart from testing though.
