Don't remeber rhe exact text. It was the conversion line of the posts to 3.2.0 (sorry, edited my orevious answer)

Started completely from scratch this morning, same results but now i have the exact steps for you.

Environment (local) WAMP, php 5.6.16, Apache 2.4.17, max_execution_time in php.ini set to 180 (also tried 600, same results)

If it helps, tried to migrate a small (test) board with 251 posts, same configuration, without any problems.

And when migrating your big board, do you have any error in the php logs?

Did some extensive playing with the timeout in php.ini today. It seems that the threshold is between 940 and 950. @950 the installer goes through. @940 the error as described before shows up.
