The bug related to the "Who is online list not working properly" has been fixed, it seems.
It was one of the support questions more asked, should be worth to mention?

I tried to update from 3.1.7-pl1 and everything went well, but in ACP I have Board version: 3.1.8-RC1 in red font and on tab "System" I can see
ACP wrote:Latest version 3.2.0-b1
and
ACP wrote:Your phpBB installation is not up to date.

Tested an automatic update from phpBB 3.1.6 to phpBB 3.1.8 RC1 and update went smoothly.

I've tested the NRU fix and view members fix and can confirm proper operation again.

Thanks to the phpBB development team for all their efforts.

I have not tested the update (yet), but could you please fix a typo in the github style changes section title?

Please update "style chagnes 3.1.8-RC1" to "style changes 3.1.8-RC1".

The title is carried to the page's document title as: style chagnes 3.1.8-RC1 · GitHub

Rationale: "You never get a second chance to make a first impresssion." The first thing users notice are errors in the UI and documentation. Errors found here will question the quality of the product (and your reputation), regardless of the underlying efforts. I apply this principle everywhere.

Update: The typo has been fixed, thank you.

Since 3.2 is only Beta, that shouldn't happen.

You are using an unstable version of phpBB (3.1.8-RC1) so it is expected.

^^^ Yes.

I cannot view the file modification details. My configuration:

Server: localhost
Language Pack: American English
Current version: 3.1.6
Package downloaded: phpBB-3.1.6_to_3.1.8-RC1.tar.bz2
Database: postgreSQL

At step: Check files, the scripts run successfully to display the Modified files.

Any link I select will open a new window and repeat the full fill difference process. It executes "Collecting file differences" and loops back to the "Check files" step.

For example includes/functions.php has: [Show merged differences] with the following link:

Code: Select all

http://localhost/forum/install/index.php?language=en_us&mode=update&sub=file_check&action=diff&status=modified&file=includes%2Ffunctions.php
The URL which executes is:

Code: Select all

http://localhost/forum/install/index.php?language=en_us&mode=update&sub=file_check
How can this be debugged? (Perhaps it's the language pack, I'll try this next.)
