phpBB 3.1.4 RC2 released

Post by nickvergessen »

Release highlights
  • New Features
    • Events - More events have been added to the template and the php core
  • Notable Bug Fixes
    • Version check of extensions - File caching of extensions' version check file doesn't work
    • Fix links from /board - Append page name to base url if it doesn't contain it and the path ends without a trailing slash
The packages can be downloaded from our Area51 downloads page. Please test the packages to extend, so we can have a fail-save final release.

Did something change that would affect routing? With enable url rewriting on I get a "no route found for GET" on an extension I am developing and without it enabled the extension works fine though app.php displays in the url.

The extension worked fine on 3.1.3.

This is locally via XAMPP if that matters.

That's a great work on this 1st release candidate version, so I try this and be sure to check everything's stable for this version. ;)

In 3.1.0, there were dizains of different events added because it was the first release to support them.
Now, each release contains "only" a few events. I think it would be better to list them in the changelog to help extension developer.

There is a list of all EVENTS inside the docs/events.md file, which is found in every phpbb version. There is also this Events list.

I know about that list.
But it would still be nice to clearly provided the new events in the release announcements, instead of just saying "New events were added".
