Exactly. In 2 days you won't even notice anymore.hanakin wrote:thats just until you get used to as its new, not necessarily a point of contentionJohn P wrote:I find it really annoying, hope it's the good word for it.

That being said, if people are absolutely opposed to it, we might have to rethink this

I like how it looks, but I think all admins of forums can expect many PM's asking why they can't quote and report! I've said this before but not every Forum user is internet savvy, they will just think they can't report or quote, they won't think of hovering the mouse

I've actually used this exact same system for about 2 years now. I have yet to get any questions/reports on this issue on any of my boards. But who knows...NeilUK wrote:I like how it looks, but I think all admins of forums can expect many PM's asking why they can't quote and report! Something is broken when viewing the buttons on my iPhone and iPad.

Probably an old cache. Try refreshing a couple of timesMess wrote:Something is broken when viewing the buttons on my iPhone and iPad.

Arhh the magical refresh number 7 did the trick... Strange.
Re: What Happened To The Report And Quote Buttons?
I see no reason to hide these buttons. Only added distractions from reading changes on the page when I move the mouse cursor.
Sorry for my English.

They should definitely be hidden from guests imo. Bonus of a cleaner look, by ridding something that can't be used by a guest anyway. But as I write this post...I realise that some people allow guest posting! So...not sure.
Should/would/could and do they simply show based on permissions anyway?
EDIT: Whoops...There is a proof of my dislike of the current pagination and how it's easily missed.

Re: What Happened To The Report And Quote Buttons?
I'm not talking about changing the "look" of the buttons; they're OK. I'm talking about changing the poor usability of hiding important features unless somebody just happens to do something. That's not very discoverable.Darkness_demoN wrote:I also like the new look Keep them
And it doesn't matter if "other boards" do it. That still doesn't make it usable.
Regarding "getting used to it", you'll probably also get used to an annoying dog barking next door. That doesn't make it any less annoying for others.
If you disagree, please tell me what benefit the user derives from having the buttons disappear. If there isn't some benefit, it's useless.
