I propose to add small but useful improvement - when you select some text of somebody's post and click Quote button, you quote only that text, not entire post as it works currently.
This feature was added as one of functions in Full Quick Reply Editor phpBB3.0 MOD (adds selective quote function - available through default button).

Selective quoting sounds like a nice feature. It's not really necessary as you can edit the QUOTE tag yourself, but it's a time saver. One downside is if you have already selected text (like to copy it) and forget to unselect it when you click the QUOTE button, you'll have to fix that.
Multi-quote can already be done in a fashion using the topic review (below the post box in the full post editor). Plus there's already a Multi-Quote RFC.

That's already available in the topic review frame on the posting page, but I think it would be more useful if extended to the "viewtopic" page. Ideally there should be a contextual button that pops up near the selection to say "Quote this excerpt" or something like that. My only problem with it is that it only copies plain text reliably. Without access to the original text you can't really copy rich elements without a lot of guessing.

Since most posts are plain text that might be acceptable.
