Master_Cylinder they've been reported by our Operations Manager and other users. Google no longer takes spam seriously. All they did was mark that email address as a possible phishing scam in their web email. In contrast on a earlier email they used Google disable their account when our Operations Manager reported them, the reason for this course change was never explained.
That sounds about right for google, shame. Another good reason to not use gmail...not that I needed another reason. When more and more servers start using blacklists, more and more spammers will give up and get real jobs.
These kids today...
Buy them books, send them to school and what do they do?

Yes, but, based on the discussion I've read about this spammer (possibly in the linked topic), he's using E-mail addresses that aren't in public profiles. He seems to use the address that your board's E-mail is sent from (for example, if you allow user registration, he can pick that E-mail address up and spam you there). That's the address where I get spam from him.
I assumed it was the email links but I don't link my boards or my email here so maybe that's why I've never gotten one for any of my forums. I suppose they could just be searching for the phpBB info in the footer to find them too...if that's indexed. *shrug*
