Allow Users to View Their Own Unapproved Posts

Post by Pony99CA »

I think that users should be able to view their unapproved posts. First, it allows the user to edit the post (presuming they have the permission to edit posts) if they made a mistake or changed their mind about saying something. Second, as the user would see his post in the topic (with the Unapproved icon), it would be less likely that the user would double post because he missed the message about being in the queue.

As alluded to above, I think that the user should his posts (and topics containing those pots) with the Unapproved icon similar to what Moderators see. Of course, the user wouldn't be able to click the icon to get to the MCP.

What do you think? Is there a good reason to prevent users from seeing (and editing and deleting) their unapproved posts?

This should prevent the user to undelete or edit those posts - maybe a moderator wants to start an internal discussion about the unapproved post before approving, so he can lock the content.
