There are simply some acronyms you pronounce and others you spell. Generally you pronounce them if they sound well when pronounced, like SETI ("set-ee" not "ess ee tee eye"). Sometimes it's debatable, like ASAP ("ay-sap" or "ay ess ay pee"). I don't think there's an easy answer here, but I voted for "fack."

usually it's say four letter acronyms, and spell three letter acronyms (if it's possible to say the four letter acronym that is).

Damn I always say seti, not S.E.T.I. But F.A.Q. just seems right to me and I've never heard anyone say A.S.A.P. assap.

Eh, it is definitely "Fack". Like Paul said, it's easier to say. I have never heard anyone say ASAP or A-S-A-P ever!! I am glad of that.

Another reason it should be "Fack" If you are speaking in plural, you can be clever and tell someone to look at the FAQs! (see, its clever cuz it sounds like "facts"

)
