Marc1706 has a mod which allows for editing comments via AJAX rather than a complete page reload of the full edit.
My users love it.
Suggest folding the mod into core phpBB.

Re: Enable AJAX Quick Edit
I think just a lot more AJAX in general would be good

Re: Enable AJAX Quick Edit
Yeah, in the right places, it's a really beautiful feature for useability. I agree.
I liked this example because the mod is already working, just needs some testing to iron out a few issues with bbcodes which sometimes don't get parsed; so that sounds a lot easier for a developer than writing an AJAX section from scratch.

Re: Enable AJAX Quick Edit
I don't think it's that great for moderators, as moderators usually put a reason for editing the post, while the Ajax edit mod does not allowed this.Meis2M wrote:i think Ajax Quick edit is good tools for Moderators.

I don't see why you couldn't add a reason field below the quick edit textarea.callumacrae wrote:I don't think it's that great for moderators, as moderators usually put a reason for editing the post, while the Ajax edit mod does not allowed this.

Re: Enable AJAX Quick Edit
i agreed with this
as this feature increase efficiency on edit posting
in addition
this feature is so standar for mostly forum software
maybe just phpBB right now
don't use this

Re: Enable AJAX Quick Edit
Ajax Edit will be nice.
as far as i know, the other forms don't have this as a basic functionality rather they have plugin for this the same way phpBB have.ephemeraboy wrote: this feature is so standar for mostly forum software

Re: Enable AJAX Quick Edit
Titania already has some sort of AJAX Quick Edit and I'm pretty sure that it would be possible to integrate that feature into phpBB.
