Hello everyone,
We have changed the feature freeze date for phpBB "Ascraeus" 3.1 to be the 18th of July, in light of recent delays. Beyond this date no new features will be added to 3.1. All features which do not have an implementation at that point, will be postponed to 3.2. After that date, a period of initial bug fixing and final integration will begin, so the 18th of July is not the release date of 3.1-B1.
Please help us complete as many changes and new features as possible until then by contributing code for these new features. New features are discussed on the forums here at area51. You can either pick one of the discussed features and implement it or suggest your own features. Before starting work on a new feature or improving an existing one, please create a new ticket on the tracker so it shows up in the roadmap.
We wish to drastically increase automated testing for the 3.0.8 release. We have set up a test suite for PHPUnit and welcome any tests for any of the code contained in phpBB. You can learn more about writing and running these tests on the wiki. After you have written a test please create a new ticket and submit your patch.
Thank you all for your help!

Call for Contributions - 3.1 Feature Freeze: 18th July 2010
Re: Call for Contributions - 3.1 Feature Freeze: 18th July 2
Perhaps since this date is now passed, and we're presumably in feature freeze on 3.1, could you provide an updated status?

There is a post on the blog you may have missed. http://blog.phpbb.com/2010/07/20/phpbb- ... re-freeze/GravityDK wrote:Perhaps since this date is now passed, and we're presumably in feature freeze on 3.1, could you provide an updated status?

Maybe we should remove the subsilver2 thing from the list?

Well, it is being removed from the distribution, right? So while it's still supported, it's no longer part of the core.
