Re: reCAPTCHA for emails
Can be good as an option if used for emails in post aswell as on a users profile.
Must be able to disabled it on a per forum basis though since bots cant access all areas on most forums because of permisions. And by "bots" i mean registered users guests.

Re: reCAPTCHA for emails
IMO phpBB shouldn't just depend on a single 3rd party solution (i.e. MailHide). If this was implemented, then it should be a plugin, not just designed for reCAPTCHA.

Re: reCAPTCHA for emails
People really shouldn't be posting their e-mail addresses in public, but since you can't (always) stop them from doing so, this feature might actually be pretty useful.
I agree with this. phpBB already has a pluggable captcha system, re-using it for other features should be fairly easy.onehundredandtwo wrote:IMO phpBB shouldn't just depend on a single 3rd party solution (i.e. MailHide). Re: reCAPTCHA for emails
Especially now that reCAPTCHA is vulnerable to algorithmic attacks.
I kind of like this idea...but not so sure it needs to be in the base package, i.e. maybe it should be a MOD/plugin?

Re: reCAPTCHA for emails
This would be a good feature I don't think it should just be recaptcha though, it should be whatever captcha that is chosen.
