Change "less than a minute ago" to something shorter

Post by igorw »

I've never really liked the "less than a minute ago" you get when you just made a post. GitHub uses the term "just now" which I would find a way better term.

Thoughts?

"Just now" is too informal for my taste. If I were trying to shorten this, I'd use "seconds ago" or "moments ago", but I really don't have a problem with "less than a minute ago"

"X seconds ago" would be best I think if we were to change it.

I like "just now"

When I think about it, I feel like it kind of makes things seem a little less static, and a little more real-time AJAX kind of vibe. It has a sense of immediacy. ;)

Compare the two:
Post updated just now!
Post updated 38 seconds ago.
Has an irascible disposition.

Its a personal thing as to which is better - I like precise vales hence 38 seconds ago is what I like.

It would also be nice if there was an option to turn this off. I very much prefer it the way it was before 3.0.4 so atm I just comment out those lines in session.php.

Couldn't you just use a date format that doesn't do that?

I want to have the Today and Tomorrow part and not the 'xxx minutes ago' part, but there didn't seem to be an option for that. Great idea to make one
