Bookmark Custom phpBB Pages

Post by keith10456 »

I requested this a while back in the Mod Requests Board of phpbb.com...

However, I would love to see the ability to Bookmark custom phpBB pages added to 3.1.

Any thoughts on this?

Utilizing phpBB for the back-end of a website is a great idea... Which I've done with my website. The Bookmarks feature - in my opinion - should be able to work on the custom pages.

Edit - I added my 2 cents...

Personally I find that if I want to bookmark something I'll use my browser, what would be great is expanding the functionality to allow the creation of custom views which are more prominent and useful than the current bookmark system.

The Bookmarking feature as is is extremely useful... The many arguments for it has already been stated so I'm not going to go on and on about it. However, these same benefits apply to the custom pages.

I love the fact that when I go to phpBB I can go to my bookmarks and quickly link to topics that I need - and it's part of the website. It would be great if I could do the same thing with some of the pages that are NOT in the Forum but on the phpBB site.

The custom phpBB pages is an excellent resource for utilizing phpBB for your website as I mentioned above. The Bookmarks feature - in my opinion - should be able to work on the custom pages.
