SPAMBOTS - how can we stop them - read FIRST post.

I've just installed the Prime anti-bot mod as well as the spammer_mod.

But on trying to register, I'm getting an error message relating to the Prime anti-bot installation.

The error is:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in includes/ucp/ucp_register.php on line 205

I've double-checked that what I copied & pasted was exactly as in the install file, ie:

//-- mod: Prime Anti-bot ----------------------------------------------------//
$prime_captcha->update_error($error);
//-- end: Prime Anti-bot ----------------------------------------------------//

I've purged the cache, refreshed the templates.

I'm not sure what is wrong, can anyone help me?

You'll need to ask on the MODs release topic when phpBB.com comes back online, which shouldn't be far off.

you may have accidentally removed a syntax just before that line. doing the copy and paste with the cursor in the wrong place. been there and done it.
