colorizing the board

I was followig some great instructions on the main board on how to colorize (using US spellings cos whoever put it together used them, and I'm afraid I didn't note their name)... Did anyone, or the original auther of it, save it? Can a copy come over here - it was soooo handy (thank you if you're reading) ? I ran a few searches and can't find it... the 'colors.css' is easy enough, if not painstaking, but gthere were a few other handy snippets in there too.
