Borders on main page and in search fields

I found this thread on phpbb.com that showed how to add corners to your style. I followed the advise, re-painted the corners they offered and am pretty happy with the result - all postings have a black border now and the rounded corners are black too. However, this morning I found the code that put the black corners around every box, even those on the main page. What I didn't find was a way to make black borders appear to connect those corners.


Main page. This is where I'd like to have black borders (around both fields).


Search results.
1) This is where I'd like to have black borders (around every posting).
2) Is it possible to throw out the subject field in the search results?

As usual many thanks in advance! I wouldn't have been able to do most things I did with my board if it hadn't been for you guys!

Edit: The border thing also affects the "Prime Quick Reply" mod. Can I add a border around the quick reply field, too? The black corners show up.

Is it really that complicated?
Maybe someone could point me in the right direction?
