I have been asked by a client to add phpBB to their web site and they also like the blog feature here: http://messageboards.makemeheal.com/

Is the blog feature a standard feature or has the blog been created as a bespoke solution.

Well thats PhpBB2 with a blog modification.
I recommend you use PhpBB 3.0.4
and a Blog mod for it is available here.

Well the Blog Mod above to which i referred is a Separate Feature you have to install it manually.the instructions are in install.xml file.
