Hello!
I'm running PHPBB 2.o on my forums at http://www.SuperMomsonline.org.
I recently installed Easy Mod and after many irritating nights, decided installing mods manually was the best way. I've learned through necessity pretty quickly! LOL.
Here's my dillemma though: Some nights ago, I'm pretty sure I tried (key word as it must have only been partial) installing a mod that changed the way that video links such as an image/vid link from photobucket, were displayed. Here's the pretty retarded part--I can't remember what mod it was, and what files were involved. Stupid--I know! I've since taken much more care while installing. But being a newbie at this, I tried many mods with Easy Mod before deciding that it wasn't really working for me, being that I use a style template that doesn't gel well, etc., etc.
SO....here's what is happening: when you click on a photo video link (not a normal text link), the entire screen fades and the image box pops up, as though the video is going to play right in the browser window without popping up a photobucket link in a new browser window or whatever. It is really cool effect at first...except that it doesn't work. The video never starts. This also happens when you click on pic links. A box pops up as though it's going to give you a browser preview, it stays blank, and you can't get it off the screen.
I have tried looking around for any obvious mod "crumb trails" to see if there was anything causing this, but I'm new to this...and so I was looking in files like viewtopip.php and view_topic_body.tpl, etc. I didn't find what I was looking for.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'm hoping someone might say, "Oh I think I know what mod that is" so I can look back over the install notes and try to UNDO whatever damage I did. OR--if you have any suggestions as to what files I might look in to try and change settings manually, that would be great too.
Any advice would be soooo appreicated! I know this is kind of a weird request. Thank you in advance!
