I KNOW he is joking. phpbb follows the linux kernal version notation, so having five betas of each release candidate is a joke

Would you really release a release candidate without first testing it?profpete wrote:I KNOW he is joking. phpbb follows the linux kernal version notation, so having five betas of each release candidate is a joke
Once RC2 goes gold, we can start wondering when will gold version go RC3. After RC3 gold, I would expect gold gold, unless we see a RC4-beta-dev, which may lead to a RC4-RC1, or alternatively a respin of gold version just before 3.0.1.RC1, with some backported features.
I hope I clarified things.

I found 7 bugs in one hour last night - so it won't be out soon if I've got anything to do with it.

You forgot the alpha release of the beta from the first release candidate for the 4th release candidate.Nicholas the Italian wrote:Would you really release a release candidate without first testing it?profpete wrote:I KNOW he is joking. phpbb follows the linux kernal version notation, so having five betas of each release candidate is a joke

Aah, but wouldn't there be 3.0.RC4-RC1-B1-A1-dev in the CVS before that release too?

Do you mean the main trunk, beta trunk, dev trunk, beta-dev trunk, or what?profpete wrote:Aah, but wouldn't there be 3.0.RC4-RC1-B1-A1-dev in the CVS before that release too?
