No, he should have flipped the red one the other way up. Up is bad, thus red.

nope i took the red one because more bugs is "bad" but couldn't find a proper font

Because that would make it a non-RC release. RC is supposed to be a finalized version - not a "well, it's pretty close" version.
Er, software is regularly, intentionally, and rightfully released when there are still known bugs. "RC" does not mean "when it's perfect." You release when you decide that any issues holding back the release are not worth holding back the release for, and will be rolled into the first update you make.
