I think it might look better to put Previous Page/Next Page buttons right above the "Return to Original Forum" link instead.

As it seems proSilver is still in beta phase, would "they" consider adding link to "Previous Topic", "Next Topic", while being inside a topic.

If you find a place where to put them without taking up valuable space, sure. We had to make compromises to keep prosilver clean, that feature was one of them. There weren't really many people using it and in all the years of developing and testing it was never missed by anyone that had access to the style. And I only count 3 or 4 people including you that mention how they miss them. As an alternative I could consider adding access keys, so you can use alt+shift+j or alt+shift+k (or similar) in Firefox or whatever it was that is used in IE to navigate from topic to topic.

As a usage, for e.g., I use phpBB to distribute set of say 100 short quizzes to students. So they find it rather useful to go through each topic one by one and returning to full list every time can be annoying.

In other words, you're not really using it as a forum per se which kind of negates your argument for having the links doesn't it?

I can't say I've ever used the next/previous topic links. I read the topics I want to on the forum page. That isn't necessarily all of them.

It is indeed a kind of forum. I post quizzes. My assistant posts solutions.

Students browse each topic.

ps - The beauty of open source is that we could use the way we like.

I have to agree with Kevin.
You are using this software for a special solution, which means, that you're arguments really are negated (stealing words here)

When putting features in the base they have to be features that will be used the same by the majority of the people using phpBB. In your case as has been said you have a specialised solution, so while having those links works for you, probably most other people would not use it in that way. In this case it is easier for you to add the links yourself instead of putting it in for all.

Having said that it could be put in base and commented out, so that people can just turn it on if needed.

However, Previous/Next topic link has been in default phpBB template for years, and I am surprised that why not many people use it.

How about this, you search a really big BB for some keyword, and when list is displayed you would like to browse each topic one by one. Wouldn't it be handy in this case to have Previous/Next topic link in the list?

Anyone in this group have any problems with prosilver after a completely fresh install using the CVS. I can't decide if it's a bug I should report or something on my end. Admin panel looks great, but all pages outside of that show up with no css whatsoever. Fresh database, fresh install, nothing out of the ordinary.

Try these things :

• Refresh prosilver theme (ACP->Styles->Themes->prosilver->Refresh)
• Empty your cache directory
• Type CTRL + F5 on the index to reload the page without the cache of the browser (windows + firefox... I don't know for other OS/browser)
