I hope you put pictures for them to see each step on how to post. LOL! I had that same problems with my users.
They'll get use to it.

Have several FAQ's dedicated to simple things with pics etc. But still its hard for them. To make life somewhat easier for them i installed a QP (they even were yelling that they didnt want to log in which is strange cos if you know at our school you have approx 4 different usernames with passwords which you have to use

I am waiting patiently myself, as I want to use the new features on the phpbb 3 boards without modding the current one. As the board has only the sub forum mod on it, I can see that it will be easy to move across. Though with the lastest problem with the proSilver bugs, although not looking like a major componet, it is still critical as it's the default board for the future.
I can sit here waiting for the resurection on Sunday and with that the RC1 maybe
