Yes, let's just keep the development hidden and not show any progress and then release it. Surely if people get bored with testing, they won't get bored by watching the developers say "well ... it's not done yet. sorry you can't see it."

Releasing any software without putting out betas for testing is not a good idea unless you want software with more bugs than features.

If you don't understand why this site is using it in a live environment, then why can you support your reasons for using it live?

ALPHA== INTERNAL CODE
BETA == TEST CODE
RC == NEAR FINAL
FINAL == FINAL


Therefore BETA is always Test quality, and therefore not suggested to LIVE usage, except by those who don't need SUPPORT. That means the administrators of those 100's of sites you seen have made a conscious choice to do something that isn't advised.

and huh what you on about im saying people should be able to use it fully well they can use it fully
and phpbb should hurry up and get it going because if this site and phpbb are using it for live env
why shouldnt other people well they do put there should be some support out there thats wea i come in on ma boards
i help everyone using phpbb 2 and 3 with there problems and everything works perfectly and ive had no complants so far
and me and my team are working on how to intergrade easymod into the beta etc
anyway this topic is getting boaring ima make a new 1 plus i learnt all ma coding from myspace lol
really easy aye still have the od hec up here and there but still find a way to fix it

If people want to use it on a live environment, then they're the ones taking the risk. Just don't expect to get any support from the phpBB team. You aren't paying for the software, so I don't see why you should be demanding anything Good luck fixing bugs with the knowledge you gathered from editing myspace profiles
