phpbb Addiction: There is help out there.

I am sure there there are lots of people out there who, like me, felt their stomach fall when they first found the main phpbb site was down due to a double harddrive failure. I became nervous and had some anxious denile. I remember thinking: "It must be a joke. It this April fools day or something. Darn, it is not April.".

Over the first 24 hours, I slowly accepted the reality but the true withdrawal set in. I had an increased pulse and blood pressure. I became increasingly irritable, has profuse sweating, nausea, and tremors. I tried to find a phpbb substitute. I needs to hack around with the code of a stable forum product and make it less stable. I looked high and low at VB, IPB, WOWBB, Snitz, Iconboard, and all the others failed to releave and of the needs my withdrawal symptoms.

The first 96 hours were tough, but I am now out of the woods, I found my needs met by hacking with Olympus and a little help from my friends Jim Beam and Jack Daniels. Well, I guess now I have a different problem.
