I actually heard it's Bartie, the self-proclaimed twin-brother of Bertie, who wants to take over the mascotte-ship of phpBB.

Right now he is keeping all developers hostage to get their dedicated attention in finalising Olympus into the Gold release.

The gold release will then have a picture of Bartie on every page, instead of the neutral (C) phpBB notice. Also all sigs will have his name in it.

Someone tried to steal all the phpbb coding so Bertie got into a gun fight and the server got shot in the process..

Bertie should be alright with a couple of patches.

I hope it is not until total meltdown as I am really looking forward to get back onto that site.
