That's not really how they work. Everyone gets it or no-one gets it.

They first thing they'll have to do is to work out multiforum installation for phpBB3.

We're trying to make a mod that does this. Do you know if there are any phpbb2 mods that do this? Would a site like freeforumhosts release their mods?

About multi forum MODs for phpBB2 : Do a search on main community page, when it's up again. There you will find the information and links to such MODs, also outside http://www.phpbb.com . There are several, most of them are commercial with a yearly license. I know of one that is free.

About multiforum MODs for phpBB3 : I know of at least three in development. I suppose they will be commercial.

It is possible that the above mentioned free forum host uses one the above mentioned MODs for phpBB2, and if it is a commercial one, it's not allowed to redistribute it.

Most large forum hosts ether use their own custom solutions or modified version of sebflipper's multiforums script that you can buy from sebflipper's website (google it). Few hosts also use echophp's multiforums script (its encoded so serious hosts don't bother with it because they can't modify it).

Wow thats cool, been thinking about doing our own for a while so it will be cool to see how other people do things.

However we're thinking of creating something that will allow users to potentially post (and pm) across all the sites (if they are given access to the site) and have Global Forums which work on all sites. Its not aimed at hosting companies but at organisations with multiple different sections (Church with multiple congregations, A gaming league with multple different clans?) Thats not something that has been done? (Then hopefully integrate it with other mods like blog mods, portal, etc)

1) Don't type in all caps. Please
2) What?
3) RC1 will be released when the development team thinks it's ready. That may be two minutes from now, next week, or next year.

I really don't mind waiting at all and I totally respect and understand the whole "it will be done when its done" policy. But, I must say I realllly miss having the Bug Tracker to keep up with how things are going. It makes the waiting a whole lot easier when we can kinda peek at the progress (not that I even know what a lot of it means, lol...but I'm trying to learn). I realize its no one's fault but it sure sucks for everyone involved. I hope they are able to get it all fixed soon and I really hope none of their hard work was lost.
