Forum rules DO NOT give out any FTP passwords to anyone! There is no reason to do so! If you need help badly enough, create a temporary FTP account that is restricted to only the files that you need help with and give the information for that. Giving out FTP information can be very dangerous!
It "finds" that everything on my server is fine and that all of my parameters check out.
read access :: OK
write access :: OK
root path write :: OK
chmod access :: OK
unlink access :: OK
mkdir access :: OK
tmp path write :: OK
FTP extension :: OK
Safe Mode :: OFF
copy access :: OK
Step 2 thinks everything is fine
Testing selected write method
Testing FTP access...
1) Logged in successfully
2) CD to EasyMOD path successfully
3) wrote to phpBB root successfully
Write access method confirmed!
The modified files will be written to a buffer and then FTP'd into place.
Testing selected move method
Testing FTP access...
1) Logged in successfully
2) CD to EasyMOD path successfully
3) wrote to phpBB root successfully
Move access method confirmed!
The core phpBB files will automatically be replaced by modified files via FTP.
Step 3 ....
Building Post Process Actions
The following actions will be executed in the final step: copy includes/admin_easymod.php.txt ../../../admin/admin_easymod.php
copy em_includes/em_functions.php ../../../admin/em_includes/em_functions.php
copy em_includes/em_cipher.php ../../../admin/em_includes/em_cipher.php
copy em_includes/em_schema.php ../../../admin/em_includes/em_schema.php
...
It creates the list of tasks to do and I hit "Continue Processing" ... and wait ..... and wait .... and wait ...........
My first guess would be that you have removed one or more templates from your FTP Server but have failed to uninstall them in your ACP Styles Admin. So check to make sure that templates that have been deleted from your server have been uninstalled in Styles Admin, then try the EM install again...
No, the problem isn't that you are using alternative templates. The problem that I'm referring to is when someone deletes a template from their FTP Server but failed to do so in their ACP Styles Admin. Since EM uses the database entries to determine which templates are installed, then if the template files and folders don't exist, that causes problems like what you have described...
So do not delete any templates in your ACP Styles Admin where you have the files stored on your FTP Server. But for any templates that you have deleted from your FTP Server, you need to uninstall them in your ACP Styles Admin. If the template files and folders don't exist on your FTP Server, no one would be able to use the missing template(s) anyway...
OK, well. Then. That was not the problem. I deleted them anyway. The templates are much less important than installing the ANTI-SPAM mod which can only reliably be done through EasyMOD. The files are gone from the templates directory and no other templates are listed in my admin panel besides SubSilver.
Still "page cannot be displayed" after a LONG wait.
Ok, if this is not a missing template problem, a little more information may help. So on the first step, set FTP Debug Mode to Yes, then continue with the install. Hopefully this will give us enough additional information to determine the cause of the problem...
It is possible that some of the EM files are missing or corrupt, so you might want to make sure that all of the EM files were successfully uploaded to your admin/mods/easymod folder. I ran into this problem on another server earlier today...
Step 2 (of 5): EasyMOD is now confirming your file access settings.

Ok, try this. At the first step where you enter the path to your board and FTP login information, change localhost to your FTP address and change the PHP FTP Extensions setting to No. Then try the EM install again...
