I'm having problems with the language folder during the conversion. The path is missing the english suffix. Is there some setting I'm missing.

All fine:

Exactly as it was in v2.0.22 after a deep cleanup I did.
Now, the question I am afraid to hear a response for:
How do I move the database from MySQL to Firebird?
Suppose I export the MySQL Database, then do a new, clean install for Firebird (in fact I have it zipped already). Can I restore such SQL file (exported from the MySQL-based board) into the clean Firebird-based board from ACP?
That is:
1 - Export from MySQL board;
2 - Do a clean install for Firebird;
3 - Import the exported db into the empty Firebird board.
Is that possible?

Bang! Didn't work!
As I guessed, the SQL statements generated from a backup from MySQL are not compatible with Firebird. I got a huge error screen.

What do you mean with will not transfer? Can you see the smilies in posts? Can you see them on the posting page? Can you see them when you click on the view more smilies link? Have you overlooked the smiley settings in the ACP?

I think you need to convert the mysql dump you made to a compatible forum, so that FireBird can parse it. I'm not an Firebird expert.. (just looked at the website for the first time :p), but maybe you have some luck making a mysql dump with the --compatible=name option. See http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/mysqldump.html
or else i think you need to search for a tutorial./programm that can convert a mysql dump to a firebird compatible one
Re: phpBB2 -> phpBB3 Upgrade Script Discussion
Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but could someone answer the following question:
I ran the conversion script and setup phpbb3 in a new folder.
Once installed I started browsing the forum, and figured out the forum was auto pruning topics. I never enabled this setting, so I edited every forum in acp, and found a lot of forums with auto pruning enabled with the interval set to 2 days.
Now I checked the admin panel of phpbb2, and found the same settings.
Could this be because of the conversion, or did some of the other admins change these settings in my old board?

The old settings do not get touched, they are only converted. If your phpbb2 forums had auto pruning on your converted ones will have them on too.

Hey Team, just a thought here... now that B5 has been released with the converter, shouldn't support for the Converter be on .com in the Beta support section?
Just noticed quite a few individuals requesting support, but I'm hesitant to reply since this isn't the support forum...

Ignore them or point them in the right direction.
