There will be update path between the beta3 to RC1?

Who knows. OK Acyd Burn, then why do they have the upgrade path thing???

If the database will not be changed ,we could update by ourself.

But there have already been schema changes from 3.0.B2 to the current CVS... a few added fields in relation to group colourings on the last topic, and the last post title. Trivial to update though.

And no version tag has appeared in the CVS yet...

Definite no. The current updater will be used to provide the update path from RC1 on.

Well, that certainly implies that there will be a B3 before RC1 then ;-)

It meanings that ,BOTH RC1 AND UPDATER HAVE BEEN FINISH IN SOME DAYS

Nope that doesnt mean that. It means that the updater that is in the cvs right now will be used when rc 1 comes out to update to rc 2 or gold.

yeah, and it looks to me like that's what I'll be doing, manual updating (unless some leet haxorz writes a lil script of some sort)

Take a look in the _config table :P

I linked to that file because this is the file that phpBB Checks to make sure you are up to date.. I am guessing that the update topic referenced on the page before is using the link in there as a reference for the latest version.. Pretty smart if you ask me..
