i KNOW there is a mod out for phpbb2 that makes posts that were posted "today" or "yesterday" say that they were posted "today" or "yesterday" on the forums and in the topic itself.
Its just a matter of time once RC1 comes out that the mod will be ported/remade for phpbb3.
You don't need a MOD to do this, as has been pointed out many times in this topic, you just select relative dates in your user profile and bingo you have it - there's no need to type anything in either, it's an option in a drop-down list

A small edit will allow Today and Yesterday to be displayed in Red (Today) Green (Yesterday) or what ever colours suit your template...
Not sure if such suggestion are allowed so I will hold off till I get word but it is extremely easy mod...
I would think if it is just instruction to a "custom" date and simply some additional text to type in the field for a user in control panel or admin/ACP then sure I would like to know and think it appropriate in this thread, however if its modification to files (as in edits to code) then I would suggest not discussing until actual release beyond "beta"
PS: Sorry for any confusion in my original post to some. This really was a new "feature" discussion thankfully and solved
seriously ;x people consider something as a mod quite fast it seems. you could just change the value in the fields during registration/profile itll be auto updated in the db- now that's something, right?
