when phpbb3 goes final which will probley be some weeks yet.
will all phpbb 2 content still be availible or will it be removed like phpbb 1

phpbb future
working on a cms to be intergrated with phpbb 3 without any major code changing to keep with phpbb 3 guidelines

It will obviously be removed at some point, but there will be phpBB2.x support long after 3.x has been released, so dont worry too much..

phpBB 2.x will be supported for at least as long as the 3.0.x range. Past that is unkown, but we will cross that bridge when we get to it.

Based on the recent pace, I'd expect at least one more month until RC1, so I'd say months for Gold.
