Post by MKruer »

This in not intended to be a feature request, but do plane on releasing the bug tracker as an add on mod to the phpbb3

I don't think the phpBB Group plans on releasing its bug tracker, ever.

I'm undecided whether we will or not. Certainly the current code in use will never be released as it is too tied into 2.0.x.

phpBB Bug Tracker is the best, it is very simple and user-friendly. When I was searching for one for phpBB3 polish translation project I found only very complicated and not user-friendly bug trackers... And finally I created new forum and named it "BugTracker".

The only reason why I asked is because I know that you are using your own in house version, and that it appears to be based upon the current (phpbb2) forums.

You are also probably going to leverage the phpbb3 backend to make the next version. Looking at the current system for phpbb3 you are probably 90% feature complete for such an add-on, just some template changes, and perhaps one or two more tables.

Personally all I am looking for, and probably the majority of the people out there that would use such a feature, is a simple bug tracking system. They don’t need anything as sophisticated as bugzilla.

Keep up the good work.

@ ohm
Thanks for the link, http://flyspray.rocks.cc/." target="_blank It looks like it could work for what I would use it for. And as long as it can or is integrated into the phpbb user profiles it should work.
