This is a phpBB3 board. They are talking about the main board at http://www.phpbb.com/. It uses phpBB2 and they will offer phpBB3 support there until they update the board to the final Beta releases or RC versions
Re: Where will support be for beta once released?
Well, since it hasn't been officially released yet, wouldn't this be the pre-beta/beta version of it?itsonlybarney wrote: This is a phpBB3 board. It's not alpha, phpBB isn't doing alpha releases (or tags) for phpBB3.
phpBB, its open source, become involved, write a modification!

What exactly would this be called then?
Re: Where will support be for beta once released?

Missing such a great opportunity to extend the developement cycle? A few months of alpha before beta1 wouln't hurt anyone I'm sure.smithy_dll wrote: It's not alpha, phpBB isn't doing alpha releases (or tags) for phpBB3.

dumb question: what's the difference between a release candidate and the final version?
