3.2 is post Olympus. However it should follow fairly quickly after 3.0.0 to finish off the features which were deemed too time consuming/not a must-have, rather nice-to-have features so as to get 3.0.x out the door.Prince of area51 wrote: yeehaa one more reason to wait for Olympus

Moreover, phpbb 3.0 already has system to prevent spammers to spread !

That is there since the permission "Can Lock own Topics" is set to yes, hence you have the ability to lock that topic.Prince of area51 wrote: one more thing when i open this topic, i see this at the bottom of it

Re: phpBB3 BETA, here
FEEDBACK
I've been doing some testing on the CVS and figure it's good now for the mySql db, so this morning I installed last night's CVS. Smooth. Nice install went well. There are maybe a halfdozen formatting twixts that I found need to be done. Those will be reported via Highway of Hell's testing site.
There are changes and somewhat of a learning curve esp. with the [permissions] ... so download and start playing around Some of the terminology I don't understand (like entropy settings in the CAPTCHA).
The devs are doing a real nice job on this.

Re: phpBB3 BETA, here
what about staying ontopic- if this thread even has a subject ( just trying to stop stupid questions results in a spamtopic- great )

Perhaps actual malfunctions rather than just things you find humorous.Prince of area51 wrote: And a bloke with 10 posts is given such option .. If this isnt a bug then wat will be

But, it's NOT A BUG. It's a feature. The permissions for this board are set so that it is possible. If you didn't want it possible, you could turn it off as an admin.Prince of area51 wrote: dat 'stupid' question is a known bug now
Though I do believe that some restrictions should be put on certain people with less than 20 posts, like the ability to post being removed...
On topic: This is a bump to keep this topic near the top so that all the new users see and read it. What, I couldn't think of anything more useful to contribute.
