I can as well pull up plenty of other threads here that are even worse if you like?

As said a simply reply telling whoever asks this that beta is not out yet and or a link/mention to cvs etc would have sufficed.

You know what's even more annoying than people complaining about people who ask for the download page?

Yeah well as far as i can see nobody else has really put those who i complained about in check yet. Are you saying that you condone their behavior? Because i find it very funny that nothing has really ever been said to them till this point at which you decide to jump me because i stuck up for some poor soul who got jumped on for asking for info related to YOUR products. My guess is it is because it favors your viewpoint of the endless questions related to the beta which for some have been waiting 3 yrs. Sorry but YOU and I both know that was wrong to do.
Either way the point is NOBODY should be jumping anyone about anything on here related to the site/products unless it is done by someone who respresents the site and or its products. And that there i will admit my wrong doing for sticking my nose in it but hopefully now that this is out the staff will keep all in better check to avoid this kind of thing happening again.

think before you act- thats something the TS didn't do. you dont go asking things, especially if you see topics asking for the release date- that shouldve said it isnt out yet. aside from that, its the wrong forum to ask it in, oh wait, any forum is wrong! this forum is meant for feature DISCUSSIONS. seriously

Ok guys, I think that this guy makes a fair point.. Its not the newbies fault that this site is rather large and although we will all dispute this, the links are not the most informative.. This is no fault of phpBB or anyone elses, its just the truth..

I think that we all need to approach these forums with the attitude of "If you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".. If you really cant stand these people that much then simply try not to post in the topics..

Please don't flame people who merely stand up for new users, if you dont help the newbies, then how do you breed new experts?

Just take a step back and breathe please next time you see one of these topics and try to approach it with a little bit of humour and we will all get along just fine..

I think that's enough. It's neither a good idea to flame people asking for a release date nor to complain about these people. As Yawnster put it: Don't say anything if you don't have anything to say.
