No, they were rushed.

No, that just proves that they were finding items that needed to be fixed. Doesn't prove that anything was rushed.

So they just happen to find bugs in bursts, and not one at a time? And did you even look at those, several of those were fixes to bugs added from the previous update.

No. That happened because someone thought it was funny to release security bugs right after the previous release was fixed. It happened a couple times.

Even if you disagree with the 2.0.12-.14 example I gave, there are still other examples, and they should be fixing these all at once if they are known.

You know... children with bigger feet are smarter. No matter that the older children (which normally have bigger feet than younger children) go to school longer.
Your argument is a bit like that one Alex.

I did not understand one word of what you just posted.

I'm just trying to point out that while phpBB3 is not being rushed, it has appeared that several patches in 2.0.x's history were rushed. I am trying to show that the phpBB Group has learned its lesson by slowing down things and making sure that they get it right.

I mean when is it ready? I know you dont want to be stressed and all that but is it in 6 months? 3 months? 1 year? 5 years? I am REALLY looking forward to this thing. I so much can't wait till I can make my own bbcodes and just this new design.. AWESOME when's it ready?
It will be quite awhile for you to see phpBB3 release. I did wait for 2 years now. My guess is that it is not going to be anytime soon.

Hahaha.. true that sometimes I do become impatient and I even go on testing out other ones like simple machines and vBulletin. At the core of my heart though, I like phpBB. So I just stay and wait. I hope that while we grow old, this project still lives young.
hmm....
