Why can't we report the post... why is the feature disabled???

Because the mods don't want us to, this board is small enough that they can manage without the reporting turned on.

Of course, that's just a guess, but, it's good to keep mods on their toes.

Its a dev board... the mods only hang out on phpbb.com and NOT area51.

I think you'll find that several of the mods do hang round here, as well as the Dev Team, and psoTFX.

Some examples of recent mod activity,

Reporting posts is disabled because there were people hitting it on random posts and causing us to see reports on random things that did not need reporting. And there was no way to clear the flag that a post had been reported - as you will note from the list on the main site the MCP is still being worked on

At the end of the day one set of smilies for different styles dosen't work. You can bet there will be a mod to allow different themes to have different smilies once we reach beta. And of course... here's one I made earlier

Offtopic> Graham, it's been lets see... almost a year since you made that post, and the MCP looks pretty good at this point, do you guys plan on letting users use the "report post" feature?
There sure have been a lot of spam recently and it would be nice to report some of it (one still needs closing in the EM discussion)
